My son and I picked up two rainbow trout in Dunlap. 16 and 18 inches. The white bass are also on...Lost a large fish that gave me a real work out 7-10 min. fight

Wow...that is odd. Guess they made their way down the river to the lake. Maybe it's deep enough for them to survive?

Lots of Striper and White Bass in Dunlap. Not surprised about the trout, probably got washed down in the big flood.

You guys are right. These fish came from the lake or upper Guad. We did manage a couple more fish on Sunday. I think that there are a few white bass, striper and crappie in Dunlap. No honey holes..

where is the water access on dunlap? I've been wanting to fish this lake for awhile since it's so close to my house, i just never could find access to the water. And i'm talking from the bank since i don't own a boat

There is about a hundred yard stretch you can fish under the I35 bridge on Dunlap. It's where the public boat ramp is. Exit 188 on I35 N (Guadalupe River Turnaround) Just follow the signs to the public ramp under the bridge.
