Weighed 30? Or did you mean to say it was 30" long?
According to some of the length to weight charts I have seen, a 30lb. striper would have to be between 40-46 inches.
Still a nice fish, but I would have to see it on the scale to believe it was 30lbs.....

Great fish TJ! ...but I too, would like to know what river. I'm betting that it's not local, and probably up there in Arkansas. It is, after all, getting to be prefishing time for the Regionals. mark www.texomasportfishing.com

Why question Terry's fish. If he says its 30 lbs thats good enogh for me. Terry is a pretty big guy and any fish up against him is gonna look smaller than up against some one with a smaller frame.

Ok guys..cumberland river tennessee.....Went back to my old stomping grounds wed and thur for two REALLY GOOD days of fishing..8 fish in two days biggest three were 30's smallest weighed about 20

I read an article on the Cumberland, where local guides were telling fish stories. One guide told of a customer leaving his bait dangling in the water with the rod still in the holder and a big striper nailed it and broke the rod off at the rod holder. Awesome fish!
