i went there to do a job real close to the lake .in the afternoon/eves we went scouting and looking for place to fish . we went to the state park , sulfur river and to the dam . spoke to several locals and they said that there were good carp and buffs by the spillway but further down fishing from the bank . we scouted several parks and it was very pretty there . if you find some make sure to post some pictures

From what I've read and heard there was a 52 lb carp b/f last spring, please don't start in on the b/f topic as I don't want to see this thread removed or whatever, I am just answering the mans question

52lb was prob a buff, most people don't know the diff.

Yeah it did a really large common last spring. But it might have been an fluke

I fished in 15 feet of water at the end of a breakwater next to Boat Ramp 3 at Clear Springs Campground. I was told that the breakwater is sometimes 10 ft above water level and sometimes 10 ft below water level. The breakwater has a 3 ft wide sidewalk at the top. I'd post a foto of it but don't know how on this forum.
