Your gonna be disappointed for the rest of your life if you expect to have a 10lber after putting a weekend worth of time in. 7.8 is a good fish no? +1! Talk about an unrealistic expectation. Wow. But that is the mystique of Fork - and one reason it can be so hard too.

I know, like I said, we caught some quality fish. Just know (or have heard) that lake has more to offer. It's beautiful country up there though. Can anyone explain to me the huge difference in the water from place to place? Why is some murky and other parts have 5-6ft of visibility? Where did you find 5-6 foot visibilty. Going out there Wed and haven't found anything close to that. you can tell me in a pm if you would rather.

Our club has been going there for ever, no one can remember anyone weighing an over, tough lake at times.
I will be back. I'm never truly gone.....Last post by Brad RIP

10 pounders are over rated,,,Those 5 & 6 pounders could pull the tails off of a 10 pounder full of eggs! (LOL)

Oh yea just 7.5 thats a horrible fish. I would be happy to catch anything over 5 this weekend out there. But a DD will defintely help. People will think Mike Iacconellie is there>

Hopefully the weekend to come was better than this one! We found a little clearer water on sunday but nothing impressive in the boat. I dont think that they had committed to beds this past weekend. All of our fish were 6ft and if you could find grass congratulations! I wouldve loved to caught that 7.5. I wouldnt give up on "Lady Fork" yet! but over all i was disappointed this past weekend. I wish I could hit it this weekend!!!

7.5 would take the big fish in my tourney last year, be happy with that..
We will be out there this weekend running a 2 day tourney with 64 participants, I'll let you know what takes the big bass..and yes we count slot fish through a picture-chart type set up. Fork has the mystic ability to make you feel anytime your on the water you might come away with the fish of a lifetime. I hope you felt that when you was on the water.....
Jeff
I'll be out there from sunup tommorrow (tuesday) till Sunday, ya i know its a hard life...
