Does anyone know of a shop that will rebuild the lower unit or do you just have to go buy one? Thanks

My issue is I am not able to go gear. I can go forward and get in neutral but my reverse is not working at all. I am pretty sure the lower unit needs to be replaced. Just want to know if anyone locally will rebuild them.

d , you might start by checking your spark plugs, r3 , yes they can be rebuilt, there are a couple good shops around here, i think north texas fiberglass is at the 380 / 35 area, i think spanky's ( no relation, lol ) boat repair would be another good choice

Do a search on lower units. Place in Florida 795.00 + shipping with 3 year waranty. Not at my shop to get info.

Before you remove that lower unit, check cables where they enter the engine and make sure the shift arm is moving fully into the reverse position.

Now, Donald...please pick John Bolton for your running mate.
