You need to rig your front deck with a 6 foot ladder to see and catch bedding fish....
This looks absolutely rediculous and I can't help but laugh (and pity) the poor soul standing at the top of the ladder. Any objections.

I am learning one thing about bed fishing and that is when at Fork if I am doing it I try to be as incognito as possible cause the fastest way to get 4-5 boats in on top of you this time of year is to let them see you bed fishing.

The only color soft plastics you carry are white, methiolate, chartruese, and bubble gum.

I have fished from step latters revited into 16' jon boats, and I have also stoop on top of the big motor. It's not always necessary but it does allow you to back off a fish a lil farther and somtimes see deeper. Hook sets somtimes become tricky though, lol.

Why do they have a rule against step ladders and standing on motor cowlings during tournaments? Is it a liability thing? Just curious.

I didnt't know they had a rule against that, I always thought you just had to stay in the boat.

Bass Champs has had that rule for a long time. It reads "No Contestant may have a platform, raised deck, or ladder which is higher than the gunnel of the boat. Standing on the fishing seats or outboard motor will not be allowed in Bass Champs events."

Yea i've read rules that state somthing like you can't be above the deck level or use anything to like latters and steps. I have no idea why it is. Doing any of these things is a last ditch effort anyways for me, with very spooky fish.
