I use them on a swimbait hook when I want to fish them near the bottom in deeper water. I'll twitch it a few times then let it sink back to the bottom like a dying bait fish.

Some folks say that fishin on a Sunday is a sin, but if a fish bites my line, you know I'm gonna reel him on in!

I use Gamakatsu 5/0 Weighted EWG Superline Hooks. They work great for fishing the flukes deeper

Used these today. My partner was kicking my butt with those weighted hooks. So I got one from him so I could have some fun.

Fish mine almost exclusively as a topwater.

I fish it with a small bullet weight 1/16 or 1/32, swivel, and a 6-8 inch flouro leader. Works great even in shallow water. Never tried the weighted keel hook. I usually use those with a YUM money minnow swimbait.

I use the weighted hooks for a deeper and/or faster presentation. Works great! Good on schoolies, too. Fun bait, and very productive weighted or weightless in the weeds.

Pass it on. Take a kid fishing!!

If ur fishin them slow and/or deep try the Strike King Caffeine Shad. They have so much more action. Only downside is that they are so soft they tear easy.

I fish them that way all the time. My favorite hooks are Mr. Blitz's Toad Toters or Peli-lock hooks. The Toad Toters won't tear up the fluke as much when you hook into a fish.

I like the swim bait hook the best it kinda keeps the bait down and i can fish it more arratic with out it flying out of the water.
