Can anyone suggest some good shoreline fishing spots for Crappie on Lewisville?

I'm on the Frisco/Little Elm side.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There's a fine line between fishing and sitting on the water looking like a darn fool.

I'm going to hunt them hard on Lewisville this weekend. I will post Saturday and Sunday if I find them.

you are in the perfect spot and you dont even know it!!! take why 720 into little elm and fish the rocks that are around the bridge there. there are some coves there also that are easy to get to as well. if you are heading west on 720, right before you get to the bridge, on the right there is a turn in there with a gate. You can go down there. That whole area is always a great spot

There's a creek that runs from the north side of the lake. Fish the shallow water about a foot deep and about a foot or two from the bank. Try and fish grass. Anywhere from the mouth to about 1/4 mile up the creek. Sorry, but I can't remember the name of creek. It's been a long time. At one time, there was an old abandoned marine in that area.

Biden famously said in the New York Observer, “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

Excellent! Thanks all.

Made a little scouting trip today, but based on these suggestions, I'm going to have to make another run and check out some of the spots suggested here (with my pole this time!)

I stopped at Little Elm Park, there on the north side of Eldorado Pkwy. There were several people there fishing with bobbers (I assume using minnows); not much action there. On the opposite side was a guy working the brush with a Crappie pole using a white jig with a blue head. He'd picked up a few males, but said the bite was slow.

Don't think they've really moved into the shallows just yet, but if the weather stays warm, I'm thinking soon.

Can't picture where the creek is that you're talking about. Is it off 720 (Eldorado) or 423

Just looking at the map of the area on Google, I'm wondering about Stewart's Creek Park and the bridge off 380 where it goes across the lake, and Narrow Lake Park (on the opposite side of the bridge from Little Elm Park) Anyone fished those locations?

I was just out on the northeastern part of LL (google map it and the NNE finger that runs past the elementary school) about an hour ago. I got NOTHING. Yes, its not the best time of the day and I wasn't in a boat (just hip waders).

You guys on the North side off 380. Where do you pick up minnows?

I was south of Doe Creek Rd in that area, Tritionberg. There was a lot of bait fish and birds out there. I did see a few crappie/sandies jumpin around. Just nothing biting.

Good posts guys, thanks! grin

I created a google map with bank fishing locations on it. Have seen others similar to this. Update it if you have a location you'd like to share, otherwise, FYI.

Radio, I did not update your pin but added one. We are talking about two different areas.

I don't know if the map will fly on the forum. Lot of guys don't want to give up their spots, not that we're punks, we just worked hard to find 'em. Google maps is a great scouting tool but so is your truck. Look at the map and go find you some spots.

I fished jigs the entire morning (7-11) with no luck. I will be out tomorrow focusing on the shallows 1-2ft. My graph picked up a ton of fish stacked from 12-15ft and creek mouths. Either I wasn't looking at fish or they didn't want what I had. I wouldn't think crappie would be holding still.

Good luck tomorrow.

Triton - hey man, appreciate the honesty. I realize that some guys are pretty protective of their favorite honey hole. From my perspective, a location on a map doesn't show enough detail to give away any secrets.

But, don't want anyone to get the impression that I'm looking for them to find the best place to fish, bait my hook for me and catch 'em too. Just trying to share information. smirk

Hard day on the water Saturday. Didn't catch any or seeing anyone around us catching any. We were very shallow (poling around) and didn't get a bite. Hopefully they'll move up soon

Well the weather is supposed to stay warm all week. M - 78, T-77, W - 78, Th - 80, so I'm hoping that the consistently warm weather will push them off the submerged brush and onto the beds!

That and some coaxing from the members here on TFF to get Triton to do the Crappie Mating Dance....he's a little shy about doing it, but.... bannana2
