On a 1-10 scale as a bass fishing lake, with a 1 being the dead sea and a 10 being something like Falcon.

Never hear a lot about it...but when it's mentioned, never hear much negative.

7-8 depending on time of year. It is a great lake that frustrates most people.

Good lake for numbers and the big girls are there if you know where and how to fish them. I've done some bad things there but usually get a few bites.

I'd rate it a 7. I like it better when the lake is 5 foot low.

-1. The dead sea is a far better fishery, IMO.

Love Tawakoni when the weather is warm. Fish are shallow and plentiful. I'll give it an 8.

Last 2 1/2 years I'd give it an 8 - I think the low water years are paying dividends now with that 06-07 class of fish that didn't get a constant every weekend pounding during the low lake levels coming on strong now.

So close to Fork...Why fish it?

This is why I like Tawakoni.

As far as bass go, it's a unique lake in that you can find big fish shallow during the middle of the summer.

Overall, I'll give it a 8.5
