Folks,

That guy is a riot! He's a 20 year Dallas Fire Fighter that seems to have just gotten back into bass fishing. No dis-respect meant by this next comment, but he's not as old as you'd expect a 20 year man to be - he regails you, all day long, with stories from his 20 years spent w/ the Fire Dept - he's got a god sense of humor - he's got good common sense!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot, the guy can flat out fish! It was his second back on Fork after a 20 year lay-off. He didn't miss much on the come-back!

We fished just a few areas all day, not messing with any bed fish. The standard baits did the trick - T-rigged lizards, C-rigged lizards, and wacky worms! We managed 30 fish VERY EASILY. Several good slots were caught with Doug missing a possible GIANT! He set the hook, pronounces "This is a little better fish!", and watches as he can do nothing to control her as she goes where she wants to and straightens out the hook!

What a great day of fishing and, as usual, a great time spent w/ a fairly new TFFer!

I hated for you to find out like this! I tried to talk to you, but I was busy when you called back. Even though I cheated on you, I still love you. Please forgive me! Even though I don't have a boat, I've got needs, too! I swear, it didn't mean anything to me.

But it was a good day of fishing and laughs and Alton can sure catch grinnell and channel cat! lol

Honestly Alton put me on some great fish and we did have a few laughs. And I will state for the record, I SCREWED THAT BIG FISH UP!!! but I learned from the experience!

I forgot to post about that Grinnel. For all of the years I've been fishing Fork, I've never even seen a grinnel, only pics.

Well, I'm throwin' the Wacky and get a GREAT thump ands set the hook! The fight was on, drag was stripping, and I'm thinking "Big slot, maybe even a double digit!" Well, the fish makes a pass and I say, "Dang it - it's about a 6 lb native bass - real skinny!" Then the next closer pass "I've caught a 6 lb gar!"

Well, I finally realize it's a grinnel and I was scared to stick my hand down there to get the hook out.

!st one ever and I didn't even get a pic. It weighed between 5-6 lbs. It put up one heck of a fight!

I was cheating on you, to, so it's all good. I, too have needs. hehe... Anyway, the parts should be in tomorrow so hopefully I can have it by then. I'd like to hit Fork Fri, and Sat but I need a room. Cameron is all booked up till mid May. Lemme know if you wanna ride and I'll see if it's okay with my new "friend".

Nice story... Now I know why Alton didn't answer my text. I hear people turn off their phone while they are being unfaithful so guilt doesn't set in.
