 Anyone catfished Lake Grapevine lately?

Pulled the boat out of storage this a.m. for first time in 5 months and headed out to Grapevine this afternoon. Anyone catfished out there lately and have any advice?

I'll let you know after Saturday.  Honestly haven't fished Grapevine for kittys in over a year so I couldn't help you if I wanted to, but I'll do my best Sat.

Its been slow for me, A few here and there but I fish Murrell Park from the bank unfortunately.

What happened to Marshall Creek? last time I went out it was like they sprayed miracle grow on anything green out there

We fished in the cove west of Marshall Creek cove and caught a nice 14 pounder 4 minutes into the day. By 9 the bite died in that cove, so we moved into Marshall creek cove and posted up in 5.5 foot of water. Should have stayed there the rest of the day, but our portable trees were just a little too short to hold with the wind and boat traffic. If I was to fish Grapevine again tomorrow, I would have 11 foot portable trees and fish the weed lines in 5.5 foot of water. Good luck too ya. I know the top two teams stayed in that cove most of the day...
