Rick, if you want to catch a bunch of fish with the potential for a decent buff, take a look at Bardwell. The carp are smallish but plentiful. There are decent campsites with good bank access. Plus you have the marina/barge for crappie. The folks were killing the crappie there yesterday. Everyone was catchin.

Some really nice buffs at PK. For a while there were winter fish kills due to an algae bloom. Killed thousands of rough fish. Don't know how the carp fared. Would definitely be worth the effort.
The water body records for carp and buffalo are surpisingly low. 6.25 for carp and 13.24 for buffalo. Those are very breakable. I have caught a number of teens buffs in years past.

hows emma looking.is the weds still there Last time we went to EL was Feburary w/ weeds. I caught a cast net and broke a rod tip reeling the net through the weed line. Okuma sent me a brand new rod w/ just the copy of my invoice, one inch of the broke section and $5 for shipping. Came in a nice tube too, well worth the $5.
