Yes she was caught Fri morning on O.H. Ivie(three in a row and 9 this year for Ivie). The reports of 499 and 500 being caught Wed were incorrect in that #499 was not for real, so the Ivie fish caught Wed was really #499 and Fridays fish is #500. TPWL will not make official announcement until everything is confirmed, but it sounds like it is a done deal.

I wonder why none were caught at that lake last year, and so many caught this year?

I wonder why none were caught at that lake last year, and so many caught this year? According to the TPWD SAL stats, there hadn't been a SAL caught at Ivie since 2002 - until this phenomenal year. I'm not a fishery biologist, so I'm just gonna chalk it up to the fact that I was boatless from 2003 up until this spring - and am only an hour away from there. Thank you Lord!

I wonder why none were caught at that lake last year, and so many caught this year? The number of 11s and 12s out of that lake last year was rediculous. A bunch of people had an idea this was coming. Unfortunatly you still have to have the time to get out there and your odds are still very low. Granted they are probably better than most lakes.

Actually, there were some 13's caught there last year. They weren't caught during the ShareLunker period. A picture of one of them is on our website. There were some 12 1/2 pounders caught after the spawn too. It wasn't a surprise to a lot of us that fish it all the time. We knew this would be the year. We had tons of 10's in there a few years ago until the golden alga hit it pretty hard one year. It used to take 30 pounds to win a three fish tournament. Several people have had 50 pound stringer days out there. Just look at what Stoker and Stone did there last year in the BassChamps championship tournament.
