My son and i are heading down to Choke this afternoon, for a quick trip. Has anyone been there lately and if so are they up in the shallows yet ? How low is the lake ? Where should i try to fish, we will only fish from about 2:30 til dark ?

Thanks for any help!

I have fishing there a couple times and have found fish around the islands with lots of birds on the south side of the lake.

There is no such thing as "too much" fishing.

You can almost always catch something at Huisache island. Get in the really thick stuff with a cork set about three feet deep. Make the bait splat when it hits the water and keep moving.
