I was flipping channels last night and somehow landed on the banjo minnow infomercial. I was just wondering if anyone has tried them or heard anything about them. TV says they will outfish any other bait but just wondering if its a bunch of bull or what.

You know i was at bass pro last year and they had the kit on sale for like $9 so i dicided it was worth a try. I have used them in ponds with pretty good results and i tried them at sandlin one day when the fishing was tuff and caught a 1lber on them. I have used them several other times and have yet to catch anything else from a lake on them? but heck $9 was worth the risk. Maybe one day I'll give them another shot but until then they own a nice place in the back of my tackle box. I have no convidence in them and they really didn't run like the infomercial showed (i know i know).

specks and reds eat them up at the coast, and strippers like them too, and i have caught a lot of bass on them but it has been probably 10 years since i threw them in fresh water

I have never tried them, but I look at it like this. If they were that good then every elite guy fishing would have every color, size, etc. in their boat and every rod they own would have nothing else tied on it.

people can laugh all they want but I used to load the boat on them everywhere. ponds, Lake Cypress Springs, and especially Monticello. The key is you have to use light line to make them act right. I still have a bunch of em and actually pulled one out early this year on Monticello and caught a couple 4s and a 5 just goofin around.
