Well you had better start calling everywhere you can think of... I've been down there 3 out of the last 4 weekends and believe me if you want a room you had better start calling 6 to 8 weeks before going this time of the year..... everything is booked up for the most part.... I like to stay at Falcon Heights they have clean rooms at a fair price and are super people... and in all the years I've been going there never had anyone ever say anything about something being taken from their boats... one of the guys forgot to put the windows up on his truck and was open all night and nothing was taken and he had a high dollar GPS sitting on the dash.

stay at the best western or holiday in express.

fish deep. dont mess with the shallow stuff. Carolina rig (lots or weights, beads, swivles, hooks. and leader line because you WILL get broke off a bunch.) Big texas rig. And a 3/4 oz santone rattlin jig in PBJ with a strike king rage craw. If your gonna fish the mexico side watch out for nets.

If you want more info PM me. I just got back from a trip last week and we smoked em.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in January and liked it. Only thing to add to what Jay offered is a DEEP diving crankbait in natural patterns. Either 12 lb. fluoro if not too thick, or 50 pound braid.

Good luck!

Falcon Heights and the best I could tell you can catch those fish just about any way you wanted to. What ever you feel best doing then theres fish there to catch. Of course I would suggest deep but you dont have to.
