I think I know who it was.....btw, I have a silver champ, and try to be more courteous than looking out for my own good, but I found fish on almost every bank on the new lake, and there were so few boats, everyone could fish for 4+ pounders all day and still never need to pull that.....There were also good ones in isolated places on the old lake, and some on the island as well...

Here are a few examples of ways to eliminate the problem.

Did they catch fish in front of you after cutting you off? I would have been upset too if they had started fishing after cutting me off.

On another note I was on Fork All day Saturday and didn't get cut off even once.. Actually met quite few nice people and the fishing was great.

i live on fork,and gettin splashed from other peoples baits hittin the water is just a part of spring fishin.i dont let it bother me.

There is always 2 sides to a story, and what you hear, perceive, and believe can be 3 different things. I know what happened, and this all has to do with what you believe is acceptable, and how much bank do you own if you are fishing somewhere. If you are heading down a bank, and a hole I want to fish is past you, and I am going to 1 spot, I am going to that spot, as long as you aren't within say 100 yards or so. If you aren't moving, I am going there if you aren't there...PERIOD. How much is acceptable is not written, and I give plenty of courtesy, but remember, what goes around comes around...

If it is an open area that is one thing , but we were headed into an area that funnels into a small cut.And no you do not come up behind someone within 10 yards and try and cut in front. I am sorry but it is just wrong. It is over now and I am moving on , fortunately I do not fish Tyler much at all and if this is considered acceptable behavior I am gald I don't.

What is "cutting someone off"? While pleasure fishing 100 yr. 50 yr. what is the distance? While tournament fishing? Everyone has there own distance that they think is too close. I think it is a personal judgement that can be walked on by anyone. Some people have beter judgement than others. So next time someone "cuts you off" let then know, maybe they don't understand or have never been tought properlly!!
