Maybe I can get Anthony to give me a ride in his boat. Anytime Mack! Just let me know. Hookem horns- could you post a report tomorrow? I really would like a recent report and water temp. Thanks.

Sorry for the late response, I've had the week off from work and have fished 5 days straight. At the time of my first post, I was fishing creek channels in coves on the southern part of the lake over baited brush piles 10-15 foot deep. Still cathing them there as of today on minnows/jigs and been catching my limit every day this week at JP mostly in 1-3 foot water (90% male crappie) using jigs in the back coves over fallen brush and weed beds on the southern end on the steep banks. Caught over 50 this morning from 7 to 1130. Kept my limit of 25. Over Wednesday & Thursday, caught over 100 with my dad. Will post pic.'s to prove in the morning. Hope this helps. Good Luck, Aaron

I have been hitting the banks at the State Park so far only 5 keepers out of 20 caught a ton of Joe Pool Specials 9 3/4 inchers. Using jigs under a float.

Man I drove around the lake today and was totally lost. I have not been out there for 13 years and things have really changed in that time. I never could find Britton Park since the housing developments have taken over. I saw very few fisherman on the lake today.

I get my minnows at the Marina/Oasis by lynn creek off of Lake Ridge Parkway. You can also find minnows at the marina in the State Park off of 1382 (belt line)

Somebody tell me If they were catching more fish on small or large minnows? We started about noon on small minnows. They did'nt seem to mind if they were dead or alive. We were about ready go get some mor, when a boat hailed us.. We tried to ignore them cause we were hooking some big crappie. But we decided to see what was the matter. When we got, there, they said a girl had broke their boat and they needed a tow. So we towed them to the dock, very slowly. We quickly released, and hurried back to the marina. This time, we bought large minnows, and returned to the hot spot. Water temp was 59 deg in 18' and a little warmer closer to shore. Although we tried re locating them, we never did. They didn't like the larger minnows, or mabey their feeding time was over. Did any one catch larger fiah on bigger minnows?

In the spring, I never use large minnows, esp. at joe pool. I always get small minnows and have always done better.
