I know there are several here that fish Lewisville. If any of you are familiar with the Lowrance M68C S/Map Graph, I want to hire you. I learn better hands on, than reading a manual. Plus, it's a lot more fun to go the "on the job training" rout.
So, I am asking you to spend a day, or a couple hours with me on my boat, fishing and teaching me. I will pay you, bring the beer, buy/catch the bait, whatever we need to agree to. I have this thing now, and really want to learn how to maximize it. So, anybody interested?

DTA, I don't want to call him and ask him, and put him on the spot. Does he regularly sell this service? If so, I will call him.

Another question on this graph. Should I be able to put coordinates in from home say, and mark them as way points, or can I only do that while I am on the water?

You can enter coordinates from anywhere in Lat/Lon assuming you know what coordinates you want to enter.

For example, say Holzer emails you the coordinates for Twin Poles. You could enter those at home without ever actually being at Twin Poles.

Unfortunately the M68 doesn't have an SD card slot so you can't utilize the different computer programs that make data entry and waypoint management easier.

Yeah but you may not be able to afford the beer. grin
Also you could try the lowrance website to see if they have a emulator for that model. It allows you to download a simulator type program for your unit to your computer and you can play with it on your computer to help learn the unit. When I got my first sonar and it helped alot.
