I was there March 21 - March 25 and the bass were just starting to build beds then. Should be on fire for you. Good luck!

Just got back. Found them in 10 to 12 foot but, nothing larger than 3 or 4 pounds. We fished exclusively on the Texas side but heard the Mexican side was better. Water temp everywhere we went was 62.5 to 65 (surface). Threw about everything we had but Zoom 'big dead ringers' t-rigged worked pretty well for us.

At least my boat and truck are paid for, woo hoo!

I saw that the forecast next week says 13-15 mph winds in Del Rio. With a 17-ft. fiberglass bass boat, is that too much wind for that lake? I remember seeing all the docks getting torn up a few years ago when the Elites were there, so I know the water can get big.

Launch at Rough Canyon and the wind won't be a problem for you. Plenty of areas to fish up there that are protected from the wind.
