arrived at 2 pm on the 28th,the people running the gate were super nice, would talk your ear off i you gave him the chance.got to the camp site, next time you go camping, make sure you dont forget the poles for your tent at the brazos river 8 months ago,and not notice till you try to set up the next time that you dont have them!!!so..tied the top of the tent to an over hanging branch then unloaded enough equipment to furnish a 4 bed room house(my wife doesnt pack light).headded down to the dock, let out the lines, then we played the watching game..3 hours went by,the same minnows went by,and saw 1 fish caught between 11 people.not a good ratio.moved to the other dock by the boat ramp.an hour later land a little 12 inch bass.day 2,no wind so went out in a paddle boat for 8 hours and nothing.i figured we would see something in the shallows but not 1 single fish.the magic number of the trip was 1..8 different people i talked to only caught 1.i was hoping for a few crappie, but nothing was biting.it was a great looking lake, and i guess the water wasnt warm enought yet?when they do move up,i bet this is an awesome lake..there had to be 100 cars parked along the cedar creek bridges, guess thats where all the fish are?

An actual electrical shock, that stuns and/or kills the fish in a given area?? I assume they become incapacitated and float up to the surface and are counted ? I guess I don't mind them giveing away some of those little ones (especially in PC) but I sure hope none of the big ones are ever killed by the process one way or the other. Hopefully they saw that they have too darn many grass carp. I mean to me it seems strange to shock an area like the docks at a smallish lake like PC. It seems like a back cove would be a clearer picture of what's in the lake. Also, these shock events almost seem like a regular occurance but I suppose it's just that I've heard it so much from various lakes.

yes it is an actual electrical shock. one of the only ways marine biologists can accurately tell how many fish are in a given area without killing the fish... it only stuns them for a little while and they float to the surface. very few fish are actually harmed during the procedure.
