Hallsville. Its 2hrs away from everything in east texas. LOP, Sandlin, monti, martin, caddo, fork, tyler, lone star, toledo, the red, most of the east dallas area. The list just goes on and on.

Bassmaster did a study and came up with Birmingham Alabama.Dallas metroplex made the top three I believe.
cant remember all of the lakes but here are some
guntersville lay lake pickwick wheeler eufala coosa river I know the abundant supply of largemouth , spotted bass and smallmouth played a big role in their decision.

Sacramento, CA. There are too many lakes to list. The weather is better than anywhere in Texas, and I'd say the fishing is too. Plus, you have a lot more options. You have access to some of the best smallie, largemouth and spotted bass fishing in the world there.

It would be hard to get away from Dallas. Too many awesome bass lakes within 2 hours!
