I tried this afternoon, too. The fish aren't ready again. This cold snap plus the nice high pressure sitting above us turned them off. When it warms up a little they will turn back on. Just keep at it and you will be rewarded.

Try working your slab slow. Sometimes you gotta just shake it at them. I ended up with about 25 in a couple hours this afternoon. Mostly small fish though. Bite was pretty lite. Glad to see them getting back on the humps.

Butch, They do not bite every day. I have experienced poor days in the Spring and Summer after catching many the day before. Joe, Glad you did well.

Man you guys, Im sorry to here that. Today at Lewisville was hot action for us. At first at 8:30am, I went over the entire lake throwing humdingers, little georges, slabs and had no luck. Saw some birds working by the pier 121 cut and only caught 1 there. Between 11:30am and 1:00 the fish were deep so we decided to troll crank baits. We trolled back and forth We killed 14 hybrids trolling crank baits within 2 hours. then ate lunch at sneaky petes and caught 4 more from 2-4pm. Day total 19 hybrids all over 3lbs. Lake was really busy wind was calm. We trolled in the traffic lanes where the fish were stacked up on the finder at 18-24 feet. I was in a white Nitro CC.
