Fished Ray Hubbard from 9am to 3pm in multiple loactions this past Sunday and only caught one Sandie. I saw numerous boats, did anyone else catch any or was the north wind keeping them deep? No birds all day. Anyone?

Went out early, got on the water about 6:15 and started out at robertson park humps. Graphed lots of fish in 30 ft of water but could not get them to hit. Moved up shallower towards the hump and started catching dinks. Went down the lake and fished the big point on the left again small fish but lots of boats. Talked to another guy that said he did well on hybrids early down by the rocks at the sail boat docks but they turned off by 7:30. Had to leave around 10:30 and there must have been 50 boats out at the humps at robertson park. Maybe they turned on. It is a full moon and the fish will turn on in the middle of the day when there is a full moon. I'm still trying to find a good technique for hybirds on that lake that doesnt include live shad. Anyone have a suggestion for that lake??? Kent

Kent, I have been fishing Hubbard for about 8 years, the only good technique I found for the hybrids is bigger bait, when the sandies school, throw a 4in sassy shad, I also use the hellpet combo, but with a bigger petspoon...They are tuff to catch on Hubbard but they do get big...

My wife & I fished hubbard from 2:00pm until before dark and I graphed a few fish at the dam, Robertsons park and powerplant. The birds were minimal to none and the fish were stacked at the powerplant levy. We cuaght about 50 or so fish with about 25 keepers & a few catfish. Wife caught the biggest & I was wore out taking here fish off and mine The big key here was grahing and watching a string of over 50 boats catch them as they ebbed & flowed around a stretch of water. we picked the fish up on white prizm long slabs & chartruese & white long shad shaped slabs. ------------------ "Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Kent,
Sorry for the delay. We started getting into fish around 4:30 or so & the action died off around dark but there have been times that I have cuaght them real heavy right at & after dark -Go figure! The action can get real hot but it is all well below the surface at about 25ft water range on hump etc. I assume that the early morning run would be great as it was real warm this last sunday...

I've always had alot of success catching them in the cove by the dam with the big red barn in it using firetigger spoons.
