Took a buddy out to Lewisville tonight. We didn't catch a LOT of fish, but we caught some nice ones. All of the sandies we caught were around 13-14 inches. We caught a few hybrids right at 18". The catch of the night was a 27 inch catfish that weighed 6 pounds according to my cheap little fish scale. I think we ended up catching around 15 total between the two of us. I sure wish I knew how to get the huge numbers that everyone else out there seems to be getting.
Everything was caught on a 1-1/4 ounce chartreuse Bomber slab. We tried fishing with the small boat show for a while but eventually decided to go on our own. Most of our fish were caught over the old fish hatchery in 10-12 feet of water.

If you really want to learn to catch sandies on Lewisville, I'd recommend booking a trip with Don the Angler. He's the best there I know of at finding the LL sandies. These days, you'll soon save enough money on the gas you would burn searching the lake on your own to pay for the trip, and then you would have some good starting points for the next time you go out.

Probably not a bad idea. I've been on Lewisville before where me and one other person in the boat easily put 75-100 fish in the boat in an hour's time.
My biggest problem is that I don't have my own boat yet. I usually borrow my dad's boat 3-4 times a year or fish from the bank. It's hard to get to know a lake very well and where the fish are at when you can't get out there very often to fish it.
