which do you prefer waders with the boots or the stocking foot

Depends...if I'm using them tubing, then the stocking foot will fit in the flippers. If I'm wade fishing a stream and have to hike a long way, then boots.

The best one's for me are the ones that fit around my middle. rolfmao Right now I'm using the light weigth ones with the boots.

i just bought the magellan neoprene stocking foot i figured that tennis shoes would feel better making long walks.never owned a pair so i dont know

stocking foot

real wading boots for river wading but those rubber beach slippers (Academy) for light use along lake shore.

always stocking foot, I have felt and studded boots depending on where I'm gonna be walking at

Only time I wear waders is in when its really cold and prefer footies. In the last couple of years all I've worn is neoprene socks, water shoes and board shorts. Neoprene socks at Academy are about $15, good water shoes $30-$50. Makes dressing and walking so much nicer, much less space too. The quick dry material of today's outdoor clothing is really the kicker that changed it for me. I even do this in high cold Colorado streams in the summer.

Forgot to add if you get the stocking foot ones your boot size will be approx. 2 sizes larger.

frog togs breathable waders with stocking foot from cabelas. these are very comfortable. i paired mine with a size up cabelas studded felt boot.

I only use the stocking foot with good wading boots. The waders with boots always get stuck in the muck along the shoreline and then the boot comes off your foot when you try to take a step. Neither is very comfortable for walking long distances.
