I am a new fisherman to lake conroe and have a new pontoon boat. I would love to get my kids on some fish. I am very new to lake fishing and would love any advice that you have to give. Good spots to start, What type of fish to start my kids on, what type of bait and that type of stuff...
Thanks in advance.

Pick up some catfish charlie, a treble hook and cork, position the cork about 3 feet from the hook, throw up tight to the bulkheads and hold on. The channel cats are biting good. The kids will have a blast!

I will give it a shot. Any certain areas or just against any of the bulkheads. I launch from lakeview marina.

I would come around the point on your left side and fish the bulkheads along Walden and April Sound.
