I have never fished cedar creek before, but I live in Waxahachie and it appears to be just as good as fishing as Tawak but not as far. Can someone tell me where is the best place to put in and to troll for sandies and hybrids.

Thanks much in advance!!!

Humps on the East side of the lake...across from the spillway. It's not secret smile

I like the ramp at Cedar Creek Landing but the place is a dump. Stay away from the bathrooms. There will be some more suggestions posted I'm sure. Good luck.

Hey if you can get out there on a weekday. This way you can become familar with the lake without the other traffic.

Also go back through the other post on this forum and look for people talking about CC or Cedar Creek. The people here are terriffic about giving great info. Enjoy and be safe.

spidc60,

the fish are going to suspend from now till late September...even into October. Search out the Hell/Pet rig as it is a sure fire way to catch fish on CC this time of the year.

Slabs in the Winter and Spring.

If it were me, go on a Sat. Run your boat mid lake and just look for boats. Use other folks knowlege and skill....then make it your own. No since in trying to re-invent the wheel. wink If you have a GPS, mark the spots they fish and have them for your own later.

Also, look for the big white cowbirds to be working...usually only 3 or 4 will work a group of shad...and the fish are right below them.

Here is a map of mid lake and the well known "spillway hump."

Ditto; I would throw a tailspinner at them...they seem to prefer it abt 3:1 to slabs when they are suspended

my 2 cents

spidc60,
I guess you got your boat up to speed. That's good news. I appreciate the radial arm saw. See ya,
George
