I have a 95' Evinrude 130hp and it ran fine last year and i started it through out the winter and it started right up. But you know how it goes when its time to fish it take a long time to start up, i have used starting fluid but i dont like to and this problem is olny on the first start up of the day when the motor is warm it runs great. Help!!

They are normally cold natured...but not that bad. My old rude just needs a bulb pump or 3, start lever up and choking. It takes a min. to warm up...but after that it's fine.

If U need to use starting fluid, that motor has issues. Start with new plugs, then check fuel lines and hoses. Might need a compression check done too....in fact....do that first.

Starting fluid is bad on two cycle motors......no oil in it. You need to get your motor checked out.

check your gas lines... my boat was very hard to start also... replace the gas lines and no problem now....

On those looper engines, it is very hard to get the carbs totally primed. Next time when you prime the engine, put your ear to the cowling and prime, Quit when you cannot hear anymore fuel entering into the carbs. You are going to be supprised that all this time you only thought you had it primed.
