So what's your go to color combo for the spawn? I have to say I like a hand tied marabou black and yellow jig if I am strikin out most days. I like to put black stripes on it so it looks like a yellow jacket.

Any color is good as long as it is red/chart, preferably in a bulky solid tube like the crappie thunder.

If there is ever a time I really don't have much concern about color.........it is during the spawn. Get it in front of them and most days they will hit it!

I do think having hot pink, fl. orange and green or yellow chart. in your jig can give you an advantage in these conditions. IMHO

If its spawn it really doesnt matter that much,, JMO. But the yellow black bumble bee has worked for me in fall and summer alot.

I have a black/chart tied on and it will probably stay on until May unless I switch to a white/chart. I carry two colors and if I can't catch them on those two, they aren't there.

I carry 5 jig colors and two jig sizes Red/white Red/black Blue/white Black/Chart Black/Yellow Tub jig heads are unpainted except for the roadrunner style I use for the 1/18 larger size tube/solid bodies
Much Cheaper/Easier then the old 50 Flavor Store I used to carry
