Just playin. The spot you speak of is a decent spot. Throw 1/8oz chart road runner with 2 inch grubs. Slow roll it along the bottom. You will catch fish. Academy has some good 2 inch grubs for road runners. Forgot the name of them. Multi colored grubs.

69camss.. Be careful and do some scouting before just going to the GR. The dam is constantly breaking which raises the water level, changes the temp, and makes chocolate milk which is a disaster for fishing. Also, in other threads, folks are getting run off from there from the owners of the GR itself. So, word to the wise, although it may seem like a good fishing hole, have a backup plan. You never know!!!!
Also, I have had pretty good luck with minnows down there but if you don't want to mess with live bait, use what MikeG says or a fluke (jig it).
Good luck.

I don't know about taking a kid behind the gun range. Sometimes there are bullets fling overhead from what i hear. Not to sure about how true it is but i know i wouldn't take a chance with my kids. Try north or south of there. Fish are in the whole creek not just there.

If you are downstream where the higher caliber guns are shooting right in the direction of the creek. That's standard. That wont happen upstream.

well I thought I saw it drop but I thought it was a berry or a nut, then I walked by a couple of miuntes later and I picked it up cuz then I thought it was a bullet weight not an actual bullet. to be honest I just go fish in the same spot everytime, just for fun I usually catch 4-5 a couple hundred yards from the bridge, I have thought about going farther north but there is always people and I dont want to barge in on folks so I always go to the same spot, other people fish there, just not as much as other spots
