I am considering making my own bio diesel and was wondering if anyone here does the same.

I have done it. It is not hard, but I would not use it on the newer diesels. With all of the emmissions controls, any residual soap or water in the bio will damage the lift pump(s) and/or injectors. I am a Ford guy, so in my case that means I would only use it on the 7.3 and older diesels. The 6.0, 6.4 - no way.

We ordered a machine and made our own for a few months. We ran the bio diesel in a 1999 Ford, 2004 Ford, & a 2005 Dodge with no problems. We ran about 2000 gallons through the trucks but stopped because we are unable to get the oil anymore.

The machine is on a pallet in the warehouse. If you are interested in getting a machine I can send you some pics and see what they want to sell it for.
