By depth. Colors are easier too sort out than depth when they are all mixed up.

Kinda what I was thinking... depth and then color. I seem to have more medium depth cranks than anything, so fitting them all in one box might prove to be somewhat difficult, but I'm sure I'll find a way. Just means that I need to head to Academy and BPS for some more shallow and deep cranks. I like that Wheel box thing, but I am a backseater most of the time because my fishing partner has a bigger/faster boat than I do so space is somewhat limited. Thanks for all the input guys. Looks like my evening is planned.

I use the FTO by falcon, they are kinda small as far as quantity goes but they are sooo hastle free when it comes to removing a particular crank bait, and the are also very thin, that allows for more room in my storage, take a look at them!!!
Why do today what you can put off till tomorrow, lets go fishin!!!

Depth for me then color. Square bills have their own box. I then further sort them by brand and color within the boxes. Lipless baits have their own box and are sorted similarly, by size (weight), then color. I find it much easier to leave a full box at home if I know I won't be probing a particular depth range. For instance, in the spring, I usually don't see a need to carry the box with real deep divers, say 13 plus ft when the majority of the bass are heading shallower than that. Not saying you can't fish on them now but I think there are better choices on most days.

With Ed's box, you can organize them any way you want - color, depth, size, etc. Here's an example of some of my red traps - The bait trays can be interchanged to customize a box any way you want it. It holds everything from 1/8 oz crappie cranks to Mann's 20+, Rogues, and DD22's. Gimme a call on my cell if you have any ???'s. Hope I can help. -Alton cell (817) 729-1691

Mine's by depth then color. Never thought to do it another way....I love this forum. It gives me just one more reason to mess with my tackle when I'm not fishing.
