Gary at Team Buddahead was talking to a couple of his friends who said that from Bob Hall to 40 miles south there is LOTS OF SARGASSUM WEED - 6-10 inches thick. Glad I stayed home and poured jigs.

Thats funny, I just got back from a trip this past weekend, fished from about the 25 mile marker all the way 60 miles down to the mansfield jetty, at every blocked gut i saw, and every group of birds, caught a mess of fish, never ran into sargasum, only pulled grass off my line like twice. There were guys camped next to me at the jetty, with 10 shark rods that they were kayaking out, slaying reds, and they never had pobs either. There is some dead stuff on the beach but its mainly before the 15 mile marker and not in the water. Too bad ol buddahead didn't get back with me on those leaders and weights, I could have attributed all those fish I caught to breakaway products, but i guess my old home made rigs work just fine.

WATCH OUT FOR THE J.T. HOOKSET!!!

PM sent, sorry been busy with work and baseball for my 7 year old son...

From CC Board two days ago...The seaweed is back. I went down to 5 mile marker seaweed everywhere. Talked to a guy that was at the fourty said they couldn't keep line in water. So I went to matagorda. Caught a few whiting 2 sheepheads and 3 small drum. Caught 1 small bonnethead about 18 to 20 inches long. Atlest there was no seaweed.

I'm going to assume that the weeds interfere with fishing from shore & not from one's boat, right? Only ask cause we're hauling the boat down in the next few weeks for a couple days around Packery & need to know what to expect.

Go to www.breakawayusa.com and order the 2 dvd set on SURF fishing and long casting. It will teach you a lot about
PINS.
