I hit the water around 5pm with both kids in the boat (which is always a bit of a goat-rope...), launching from Sandy Beach at Lake Dallas.
Water was 58-62F, depending on location. Mild winds, otherwise pleasant. Beautiful evening.
I anchored up in ~4' of water on the west side of the lake (wind out of the SE), and slung out 4 rods worth of fresh cut threadfins, 1 rod of carp chunks (previously frozen, but cut fresh), 1 rod worth of Secret 7 and 2 rods worth of Danny Kings Blood doo-doo).
No bites.
I tried 3 different locations over the next 2 hrs, to no avail. So if you were at the office all day wishing you were on the water, well, I was out there for you brother.
Still better than sitting at home and wishin I was fishin....
I think I'm heading to Ray Roberts Saturday to give it a shot.

next time=Saturday
I'm looking forward to fishing some real structure. Lewisville is pretty thin on that.
I may try and do some crappie fishin too.

Yea a couple buddies and i went to eagle mountain, had out ten poles and not even a nibble. dont know what the deal was

Went out yesterday and wow was it blowingn hard. Managed 3 good channel cats largest was 8lbs. Not a bad 2 hours in a cove with the wind to our backs. I would post pics but for some reason I cant get it to work. any suggestions?
