Hello,

How many of you fish with a drift sock? Our boat is an aluminum Triton VT 17. It blows around alot in the winds we are having. I am going to get a drift sock to help.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Could you recap on the Home Depot Power Pole. (PVC)
Thanks

I use to when I had a bay boat -- slows you down a lot. Was excellent in certian situations especially when I wanted to drag a c-rig over a point or grass bed.

JPost, do you not find the need for one now in your bass boat? If not, what do you do on the days the winds are 15+?

I guess I could use one however I don't like the idea of throwing a wet sock in my locker. The weight and low profile of my bassboat is much less wind effected then my bay boat was.

JPost, My bass boat is low profile but light 1200lbs. As I mentioned, it really gets blown on those windy days. Should I get a max size rated sock or the smaller?

I use one on my Ranger - great when drifting rocky / grass flats. Sucks in stumpy areas frown Don't get the max size as your boat may not have enough pull to fully inflate it. Get a good one that has a weighted section on one lip and get a floating harness.
