Went out from meadowmere. Lake choppy. Ran up Marshall Creek. Water muddy muddy muddy. No activity, not even a sniff. Try Denton Creek one evening this week and will report.

Way up Denton Creek. Look for some clear water and fish on the bottom. The slower the better.

I went a mile maybe two up the creek. It was getting dark so I had to turn back. I didnt even see the bridge. If you go back there, on one of the first turns of the creek there is a pipe just under the surface of the water. It is in a narrow part of the channel on a hairpin curve.

How far is way up? Are you talking about past 377? I just want to allow enough time to get where I need to go.

If you saw a pipe just under the water I would think you were in Marshall Creek and not Denton Creek. You need to go past 377 on Denton Creek. When it shallow way up and you have a deep hole right after you barely made it thru the shallow then start fishing. I think if you launch in the creek you will at least be on the right track. With the traffic on the creek right now you should be able to follow a boat all the way up the creek.

yes that is right. i was in marshall creek. I wanted to know how far up Denton that I need to go to get on the fish. One more question:
How long would you say it takes to get past 377 when launching in the creek off trophy club?

5-10 minutes if you are running 20-25 mph. Then about the same to get to Henrietta Creek. Normally with slowing down for boats and bank fisherman it is a 30-45 minute trip up the creek.

We went yesterday; I'd say the river has dropped at least 2 feet since Friday morning. Almost didnt clear the last sandbar before Henrietta hole. I dont think big ski boats can make it anymore. I think all the boats in hole were aluminum flat bottoms. Mine is a 15ft aluminum modified V hull and we pack light. We caught a few sandies, its still pretty muddy. Be careful there was lots of stuff floating down the river; I saw two whole trees and lots of logs.

Henrietta creek is at a T in the creek. You cannot miss it. Like running into a wall with a creek to the left and right.

I had my 21.5 Ranger in there yesterday. Most areas are Ok but write before the henrietta denton creek merge there is some very shallow water. I dont think my boat would have made it if it was 1 foot lower maybe not even 6 inches lower. look for the small gravel washouts. When u find that. There is a small funnel of creek attached. Throw until your arm falls off thats where the fish are. I dont think I will be back in there this year. We limited out and got out of there. Lots of submerged objects and lots of current pushing things.
