Anybody know if anyone is catching any whites at granger or georgetown? Thinking about drowning some minnows and was wondering if either place was better than the other right now.

welcome aboard horn section
Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Last I heard the whites were staging at the mouth of the San Gabe on Gtown. They havent gotten up to Tejas yet.
Granger has been slow all over. I havent got any good report from there.
If I fished for money.........I'd be broke.
In a world of compromise.....Some don't.

Well the fish are in Tejas..You can sit and watch them in the shallow pools. Counted around 40 in a 15 foot length of shore. Was catching some but didnt limit. Mix of grubs, rooster tails and live. They wouldnt stick to one type so had to change it up every 30 mintues or so. Fly fishing seemed to fair alot better. One guy caught 5 in about 15 minutes. Most were around 10 to 12 inches. Dont know if this is the full force for this area but I had a blast being my first time there. Most said early morning was good and the evening seemed to work better for me. Hope that helps yall.

Info from last weekend... By this time last year, whites were already in the river. Right now, they are still down the lake a bit. High water and cooler temps have changed their habits some. They are all over the graph between the public beach and the submerged trees at the upper end of the lake, all in the main channel. 5-15', some as deep as 23-25'.
'Course, that doesn't mean they are easy to catch yet, but they were chasing the shad (saw the schools on the graph). should be within a week that Tejas sees quite a few more than recently reported.
