Here's today's report:

Come on out to Gibbons in May once the pads start coming up. Fish are much easier to find then.

I wish I could do more but I've got to work to fund this expensive hobby! The winds look low tomorrow so I'm going to try to get out for 2-3 hrs tomorrow evening.

I fished Gibbons on Saturday and caught 4 bass in 45 mins at noon. Biggest just over 5, others all at 2 pounds. Watermelon red lizard and Green Pumpkin brush hog fishing the very backs of the coves SHALLOW. They started the power plant back up at 2 am Saturday from what I hear so that might kick the spawn into high gear.

Gig 'em

Never been there but going in a couple of weeks. Saw the report about the power plant. Didn't know it had one. What part of the lake is it on?

Gibbons Creek is about 12 East of College Station Tx on the North side of Hwy 30. You can see the power plant from 30 as you drive thru Carlos Tx. All there is in Carlos is a flashing yellow light and a convenience store. The power plant is on the West side of the lake. The discharge is all the way over on the NE side of the lake. Type in Carlos Tx on Google Maps and is just North of Carlos.

My mistake. I was thinking about Hubbard Creek. I like your flag Bass Colonel. I spent about 6 years on the campus at A&M back in the 50s. Gibbons may be worth the trip down from the Dallas area.
