I believe proper name would be torque tab.

How did ya loose it but not the bolt? What motor is it?

It is on a Yamaha VMAX 200 ox66. The bolt has a plastic cover on top of lower unit that you put on after you tighten up...

I am going to make some calls to see if I can find one today...

Did it used to have a "rudder" or was it flush with the bottom of the cavitation plate? If it had the "rudder" its called a torque tab, and it basically offsets the torque from the prop turning so your boat will track straight in the water instead of pulling to one tab. If it is just flush, it's basically just a sacrificial anode.

John, If you are running a Yamaha, like my HPDI 250, you have to have the trim tab. Most people do not know that there is a water pick up scoop on the front of that trim tab that channels water back down and across the hub for cooling, Yamaha rep told without you will spin hubs all day long. other engines it is just for torque control. just Fyi
