Has anybody fished Lake somerville latly and can you tell me if anybody has been catching any spawning fish yet???

Saw a 10#er on this site caught two weeks ago off a bed behind Big Creek Marina. Somerville may be pretty rough tomorrow-be careful.

Last year while Bow Fishing the big island by overlook we had 2 bass jump in the boat 2 seperate times. NO BULL, this really happened. The bass were about 4-5 pounds each. You want to catch some bass they are all around that island. Seen mostly at night in the shallows with the lights shinning on them while they are on the beds. I was more interested in the big gar hanging out there as well. To bad you cant shoot them with a bow, i would clean house....Good Luck!
