Looks like we're not gonna get any rain today...and weather underground is sayin Somerville only got .04 of a inch of rain yesterday...but the lake level sure hasn't moved much in the past couple days.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

i think i want to hit big creek marina 1st thing ,,called this afternoon and got a good report from person working the counter.fished their lots of times in the past, based on my past experience, when "the bite" is on,it starts early and usually fades around 10-11am!-not sure what time they open? in past it was around 6am ,,sometimes that girl would open the gate at530am i would show up 530 and there would already be a line of cars waiting! i dont know if that will be the case tomorrow,,but u can bet when they hit full spawn,,word gets out people will arrive at the gate at 4am and wait in line,,,but anyway if u want to meet up there lets do it .,,if nothing happening there,we can try that little slew across the way then go to the creek and try whites ,,just trying some recon tomorrow,

I have a source that has a place right down from big creek marina...he said they've been opening at 6 and they're are already people waiting in line at 530 or so.

I have my truck loaded up already, now I just need to get to sleep so I can wake up early and make the trip to the marina lol. I'll be there bright and early I suppose lol.

Sorry for no reports in the past week, but I'm laying low till the creek clears up a little. I hate the slow bite when the water is muddy, so maybe in a few more days I might slip back out there and see if I can get my pole bent a time or two before the spawn comes to an end.

I'm thinking about heading over to Reimers to see what all I can catch over there. The water clairity is better there, therefore I see myself fishing there beforee I go back to the Yegua.

It's almost over in the Yegua.. been a really good run this year!

How many whitebass have you kept so far from this years run?

I'm guessing I've only cleaned about 20 or so whites and about the same number of crappie from Somerville but I've fished once or twice every other week and have not spent much time in the Yegua..
