Males are moving into the shallows on Granbury..At one point I caught fish on ten straight casts.. All in less than two foot of water and all on a bobber..Also did something really dumb..I hooked the biggest crappie I've ever got to the boat and tried to horse him over the side and my line broke.

Lesson learned - we have all done it. if the line doesn't break the hook comes loose. that's life in the crappie lane.

sounds like fun - thanks for the report

I loaded spiderwire onto a reel and cast a favorite lure across a creek into a tree. I pulled, broke the branch, hooked my lure into a tree above me,pulled and broke that branch and saved my lure. Im sold on spiderwire

rolfmao rolfmao That's funny right there. Sounds like my dad out on the creeks. Maybe I need to get him some braid.

Can't wait until Monday. Warm weather, low wind. I've got a new pair of chest waders and jiggin' pole that I'm dying to use.

Waiting on Bob Davis' next selfie

Ha ha, I did that fishing the red river at night for catfish. Had problems with cats breaking my line in the current so I bought some 60lb spiderwire braid and a new abu reel called a Rocket. First cast down the dark river and it seemed like it flew a mile. I heard it hit trees on the other side. All I could do is walk down the bank wile hearing the branches breaking in the dark. Good line, it didn't break and the cats couldn't break it either!
