I heard chatter bait was going out of business. I tried to buy at two places and both said they are not carrying it anymore due to the poor quality. They are falling apart in the boxes. Talked to a neighbor and he said he had a nice 4 or 5 pounder on last week on a chatter bait and the jig head broke off from the pin. Lost a nice fish.

Anyway, didn't know if anyone of y'all in the know have heard the same thing. Just curious. I got a Vibrating Jig from LF Tackle which is really the same thing. thanks.

I've had better luck catching fish with the original than the all the others combined....maybe their quality fell off recently though.

Oops! Some may appear the same but can be different. I haven't heard anything lately. Years ago the quality did come into question about how the jig was connected to the blade. Thus many other swim jigs came out. Chatterbait has stood the test of time and I personally have not had any problems.

I bought a Booyah yesterday at Academy with the flexible (cable) hook shaft. Worked just fine on a couple of little bucks today.

That stinks if they do because I really like their baits and have done pretty good on them. Here is an example a couple weeks ago

Dont laugh at the hair, its been cold and had a hood on most of the day....

I like these better then the chatter bait, but you MUST and I mean Must crimp the wire down better then they do that holds the blade to the jig. i lost some nice 4lb smallies before i realized this. There blade is the best out there and all the others seem like they a just a stamped piece of sheet metal compared to the booyah's. Plus that leverage hook system help them from throwing the hook.

Nearly every company out there has one in their line these days. I personally use the ezvibe from Ezee Jigs, Chad gave a bunch away last year at a tournament on Worth and after trying them I really liked them! I hate the hooks on the original chatterbait.

I guess I am in the minority here but I never cared much for the original Chatterbait. I would be very surprised if they are going out of buisness though! They have sold tons of those things and if the buisness is falling apart is would have to do to gross mismangement of the company!

The Gambler Swim Blade was the best, and they stopped making that two years ago. Short football head really had an erratic action.
