I bought me a 50 lb bag for this weekend. I've heard on here about how good it works as chum. I know it has probably been posted before but I couldn't find the topic. My question is what is the most efective way to use it? How much should I use etc, etc. Thanks for your help in advance.

My experience is the same as tgravley's, but cubes are better than no chum at all to me. I've noticed that you'll draw in more rough fish than if you use the soured grain.

Well I used it and worked great. Pulled in 32 fish between 4 of us. Most had range cubes in them.

well if you have time i'd get a decent burlap sack put about 2 quarts in tie it up with a good rock inside and drop it on a tree limb in the water about a day or two before you fish, and when you get to the rope shake it around to sift a bit out and throw the actual cubes out by themselves when you fish but use the burlap sack mainly to scent it up and minnows and other baitfish should get thick and that'll atract bigger fish like brim crappie...etc, and so the fish will be there and you chunk some in near you to get them to go to eat it but this will atract the brim and what not towards the bottom and that way all you gotta do is chunk some shad or something on your hook and they eat up...just my two cents.

big daddy has the right idea. This is how my grand dad did it, both in the river and in the lake.
He would also fish with chicken blood with sugar in it that had just started to gel. You couldn't cast it but wrap a strip around your trble hook and lower it over the side of the boat. Best channel cat bait I ever used.
Also made a dough bait out of corn flakes, big red and vanilla.

I've used them by placing them into a big sinking fish basket, and lower it by rope over the side of the boat to the depth you want it and tie it off.
Shake it every now and then to stir up the water with chum.
Get ready to leave just lift the basket and dump it there where you were fishing.
Just one more cast!

You want to ask for the 20% protien ones, because they will sink!
Anything less will float away.
Most any feed store will have them!
