Does anyone catch their own minnows. What are you using to catch them and were. Thanks.

minnow trap...we would use bologna for bait.

I have always seined my own minnows. Bait caught fresh at the location you're fishing will out fish store bought 5 to 1. Check any of the local creeks and rivers in your area. Look for slack water just along the edge of the swift current and drag your net through it. If you hit the right spot you can get 10 or 20 dozen in one drag.

you would need people though...i usually do boat ramps. or just buy the 1/4 size cast net

i use a minnow trap. where i catch minnows it's the easist most sensible way to do it

sein net, walking the banks. Cast net on occasion. Never store bought.

I have never used a Sein net but will stop at cabelas and give it a try. thanks for the info.

I usually let the cute girl at the sportsman in Sanger catch them for me. She's nice, and I don't think she ever counts them, because we always get more than we paid for.

Oh, speaking about cute girl. She had gone down to the water get it for us.

I use a sein or throw net.

I'm with the majority here...seine net all the way.

In Vietnamese the girls work harder.
