i drained my lower unit yesterday and it looked ok to me. there was a minimum amout of metallic debris and no milky water. Yall think its ok? the oil that came out was dark and smelled like regular gear lube, so no funky smell. just thought i would check with yall. Is there usually a small amount of metallic in it and on the little magnet on the ends of the screws?

Thanks spanky! Hey i got another question real quick! If there is a hex type screw to the left of my spark plug, is it updated, or i mean pinned? its a 1998 150 johnson fast strike ficht. i hear this was a bad year for the ficht motors but i have had mine now for 7 years and runs great thus far. i read that if you had an update or had it pinned i would be ok. is this correct about the screw to the left of the plug? thnx, Lance
