great bait. been using it a year. have used 7 gallons and have never been skunked on it knock on wood. in the hot summer time you need to keep two containers so you can use one and keep the other one in a cooler. when its really hot it gets a little soupy so i change them out. catch mostly channel cat on it. usually use #6 treble hooks. got to watch it though, some of your buddies might not allow it on their boats and give you a hard time about it!!!!

This stuff is great. I keep mine in a small cooler I found at Academy and just keep ice around it at all times in the summer. Works pretty good for me. I use a #4 treble hook and use the carolina rig to fish it. I tightline with it or use it under a slip cork and fish it about a foot off the bottom. Good luck

I've been using for about a year also and I'm really pleased with it.I've caught both channels & blues on it, but mainly channels. Great customer service both time I ordered it, because Benny will have it at your door in 2 days.

looks like hell in a can, smells like sh$t, and it concerns me that I like eating stuff that eats it... but it Sure catches those channels. I've caught a good # of blues on it too, but mostly channels.
its only weakness is also its strength. it wont come off a treble hook any easier than it'll come off of you.... I dont know whats in there as a "binder", but that sh%t sticks togehter on a hook well.
I usually try it, fresh bait, and Secret 7, then use whatever they bite the best (which seems to vary trip to trip).
good bait though.

You sir will not find a better punch bait. You will give all the DK you have to the kid on the bank after one trip with SureShot. I used 4 gallons last year on OH Ivie, Oak Creek, Lake Brownwood, Lake Coleman, Proctor and other private ponds with the same great results. I fish it with tight line and under a slip cork even on jug lines. I fished Secret7 in the same places last year and SureShot beat it 8 to 1. I still always take the Secret7 with me though because I know other cat fisherman who have had the same luck with it that as I have had with the SureShot.

Ya I've used it for the past couple of years just wondering if anyone else has used it . I've also caught blues and channel cat with it actually caught my pb channel cat with it . If you don't get a bite in fifteen minutes then the fish ain't there, It does get really stinky in the summer time if not kept chilled. Last year I had a crawfish boil at the house and I have a buddy that will do anything for money and I wittnessed him eat a tablespoon of it for a hundred dollar bill . It was one of the worst things Iv' e seen in my life he was throwing up in a matter of seconds and everyone avoided his thunder breath the rest of the night ...lol ! All in all it's the best catfish bait I've found you can actually pick it up at a house here in Denton that's where I get it from .

Sure Shot works great! I got some awhile back and I caught bigger fish (using #4 trebles on a c-rig) not as many as the other popular one but bigger! and as with some of the other punch baits, you have to keep it cool, I take a jar with some in it and put it in the cooler when it gets soft. Hope this helps,

For those who don't know, you can add some cattails to thicken it up in the summer. But, I still use 2 containers & keep 1 cooled until it's time to swap. BTW, $100.00 is not near enough money!!

The greatest stuff since bacon grease in my opinion. The warning on the side, "not for human consumption" is to be taken seriously. All kidding aside, SureShot has outperformed all other baits I've ever used for channel cats.

I like Sure Shot and Lewis Kings-there is a little difference in texture but they both work...quit DK a few years back as it just didn't seem as good as it had in the past...

hey guys, i am sure that this is good bait from all the comments, but i would highly recommend ya'll to try a locally produced punch bait that i and many of my buddies believe is the best. just go to mrwhiskerscatfishbait.com and give it a look-see. Thom is a great guy and he makes a heck of a punch bait..... not a bad guide either!
