Looking for some help on understanding how to run Livingston, understand the running up above the 190 bridge and staying in the boat lanes along the river and I have GPS. But I could use some tips on what to do after leaving the river into coves such as Pools, Brown, Palmetto, Caney and White Rock and Brushy. I know to follow the boat lane into Kickapoo, but I presume that once you are south of 190 it is pretty much clear.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

NO it is not all clear south of 190! Plenty of stumpfields and a few "islands" just below the water line. As far as into the creeks that would be hard to explain online, the best thing would be find someone who knows it to take you and show you

Driving down south is still risky. Once you get to Halls lake area solid stumps across the lake unless your right next to the bank on the west side. All out in front of memorial point till Becan. Then north west and south west around the island is dangerous. Only certain lanes. Then all of kickapoo and penuagh. Only certain lanes can u run. All the places up north you really need someone if you don't know how.

Pools is clear
browns is pretty clear in the middle.
Palmetto on the left
Brushy fairly clear.
Caney, white rock stay in channel

Oh man, I remember Livingston back in the 80's when there weren't any channel markers (or GPS either). I also seem to recall running aground on the north side of the jungle where the channel made a zig zag. I missed the zig and hit 6 inches of water 200 yards out from the bank. Took me 45 minutes to work my way off of that.

Their is not much timber other than the brown things that have washed in sticking outta the water. Palmetto has alot of stumps on your right side as you pass by the boat ramp so stay mid creek all the way back. Needless to say everything changes with every new flood, sand bars floating/submerged logs etc! Needless to say im talking north of 190 here, Take your time and play it safe, follow the marked channel until your ready to turn into the creek, then its just hold on and keep an eye out for the brown monsters at that point!

Id like to say watch the locals run in in out but sometimes they are not local! Like I said earlier run the poles then turn in! Palmetto is your worst enemy, lots of timber! The other creeks you mentioned do not have any other then the floaters! Accept white Rock, it does have isolated timber patches. I hate that place anyway.
