Wow, I've never seen a bream with a beer gut before. As someone who is a frequent practitioner of misinterpreted sarcasm, I think the gentleman above just wanted to see some fish...if so, he certainly got his wish.

George, the fish and the pond are supreme. You should be proud. Excellent pond management is the only explanation here. You should record some fish. I am very excited for you on this.

Dam, Mr. Glazener! You got em so fat, they're poppin' scales like buttons! Those are some great looking photos. I'm especially glad to see that the Missus enjoys getting out there with you. I really do appreciate all of your input in the site. Kirk

The state records are somewhat convoluted, but my interpretation is the state hybrid record on fly is 8.99#. I caught a 10# (boga) 26" (tape measured) on a six weight on 3/15, but all I have is a witness to show for it - Dusty Montgomery. That's life.

I hope you're right. If MFB were a regular in this section it would have been taken that way, but as far as I know this is his first post in this section. A stranger will normally be taken at face value. Hopefully we can chuck it up to a youthful Indiscretion. MFB is trolling in the rough fish section too. a troll is a troll

State records for hybrid striper from private waters is only 4.20lb for fly rod and 5.40lb for rod and reel. http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/fishboat/fish/action/private.php?age_group=all&browse=Go
